Ambiguity avoidance

Doubtfulness of meaning, or uncertainty of intention, that makes a document capable of being understood in two or more senses. Ambiguity is commonly of two types  Latent ambiguity is not readily apparent from the language or text of a document, but arises when the document is executed or interpreted together with another document, and  Patent ambiguity arises directly from the language or text of the document itself.
